Charting the futuristic romance between a boy with a faulty bionic heart and an Extreme selfie queen, KID_X collides the unlikely disciplines of hand-balancing and street dance (Flexin, Krump, BoneBreaking) with hypnotic video projections, original music and live singing by rising vocal sensation Eva Lazarus - all set over digital reggae tracks produced by Scottish sound system Mungo's Hifi.
A unique mix of urban dance, circus skills, live visuals and new music.
Billed as a Vectorized Circus Concert, the show features MC Eva Lazurus backed by one of the reggae scene’s most in-demand producers Mungo’s Hi-Fi, an award-winning circus performer, a street-dancing youtube sensation and imagery by BAFTA nominated Scottish animators. KID_X is aimed at urban dance, contemporary circus and music lovers as well as being suitable for young/family audiences. Designed as compact ground based show for both standing (dancing) and seated audiences in theatre venues, KID_X focuses on skill and high production values with a spirit of experimentation and minimalist design.
The project will be artistically led by Bex Anson and Dav Bernard from Bassline Circus (also of Dance + AV Company VOID & 85A Collective) who have spent the past decade devising large-scale circus and multimedia productions for music festival environments.
KID_X is born out of their desire to adapt this unique cross over of urban arts and new music so it can be toured sustainably to new audiences.

LIQUID SKY //
A CEREMONIAL SPACE FOR PULSATING ATOMIC SILHOUETTES
LIQUID SKY is a new piece of visual theatre exploring the interface between sonic art and aerial circus, within a laser light scenography.
Titled as an homage to the cult 80s movie and a famous laser visual effect, the performance takes inspiration from Doris Lessing's feminist Sci fi novel ‘The Marriages Between Zones Three, Four, and Five’, about a matriarchal utopia.
Audiences are immersed in an otherworldly environment that sits between an AV concert and a live art happening. Awe-inspiring feats of physical strength by aerial artist Aedín Walsh are paired with a 'Dark Wave' live set from sonic priestess SUE ZUKI, whose throbbing synthetic hymns and mesmeric vocals will raise the congregation into a fizzing euphoria.
